Together, we are raising the standard for what builders, architects, and developers should expect from modern building materials. We are delivering Tomorrow’s Building Solutions, Today.
Scott Lidberg
CEO & FounderScott Lidberg founded NEXGEN to solve a problem he witnessed firsthand: buildings that couldn't withstand the realities of extreme weather. A seasoned business leader and entrepreneur who has launched and scaled companies since 1981, Scott has a proven track record of building successful businesses and driving innovation in outdated industries.
Living in Florida, Scott has seen the devastation that inadequate building materials cause to communities. After successfully growing and selling his previous company to private equity, he turned his focus to construction, an industry in desperate need of better materials. He saw an opportunity to bring advanced MgO technology to North American builders, offering architects and developers high-performance materials built for durability and resilience.
Under his leadership, NEXGEN is redefining what's possible in high-performance construction, delivering solutions that meet the demands of a changing climate.
When Scott isn't building NEXGEN, he's with his family in Florida. It's exactly where he wants to be.

At NEXGEN, Ian has directed comprehensive testing and certification programs with ICC-ES, UL, and Intertek, ensuring MAXTERRA® meets the highest standards for fire resistance, structural performance, and acoustical quality. His leadership has been pivotal in MAXTERRA's widespread adoption across North America. Ian also manages NEXGEN's global sourcing and logistics network, integrating manufacturing operations across Asia with distribution throughout North America to maintain cost efficiency and consistent quality.
Getting Ian to stop thinking about building technology is no easy task, but when he does, he's offshore fishing, traveling, or restoring classic cars in his garage.
